Advocates of Rustam Gabibov cannot find him
The defence of Rustam Gabibov, a resident of Dagestan, accused of a murder, has complained about the non-admission to the client, who, according to advocates, had been taken from SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 1 of Nalchik away to some unknown place.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers detained residents of Derbent Gamlet Kelbisov and Rustam Gabibov on December 26, 2014. They are accused of involvement in a murder committed in Moscow in 2010. From the moment of detention until February 20, neither advocates, nor relatives could establish their whereabouts. Later, it became known that the detainees were transferred to the Nalchik SIZO. They told their advocates that they had been tortured; while advocates complained about non-admission to their clients.
The advocate Nazhibat Ramazanova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on August 7 she arrived in Nalchik aiming to meet Gabibov at SIZO-1; however, she was told that her client was no longer there; and they did not know where he was transferred. The investigator also could not inform about Garibov's whereabouts. According to the advocate, the investigator would not answer her calls.
