Chechen power agents detain three young men on suspicion of drawing militants' symbols
Three young men were detained in the Chechen village of Tsentaroy on suspicion of painting the flag used by militants of the "Islamic State" of the wall of one of the buildings, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
According to local residents, on February 9, a concrete wall in the village of Tsentaroy (also known as Khosi-Yurt, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), the ancestral village of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, was decorated with an image of the militants' flag, as well as by an inscription in support of the "Islamic State" (abbreviated as IS, earlier – the ISIL), recognized in Russia as a terrorist organization.
After detection of the image, information was circulated among locals that several local officials and power agents had been sacked (addition on February 12, at 1:16 p.m. Moscow time: Information about the officials' dismissal was not confirmed).
On February 10, Ramzan Kadyrov discussed the incident in Tsentaroy with the bosses of the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), stating that power agents from among natives of Tsentaroy had independently submitted their vacation applications with subsequent dismissal and began searching for those who painted the above image and inscription. According to the head of Chechnya, power agents were engaged in the above search and detained young men, while not performing their service duties.
