Relatives of Kelbisov and Gabibov from Derbent find them

The arrested residents of Derbent Gamlet Kelbisov and Rustam Gabibov are kept in the temporary detention facility (IVS) of Vladikavkaz; for more than a month their advocates are not allowed to meet them, their relatives told rights defenders.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kelbisov and Gabibov, both born in 1980, were detained on December 26, 2014, on suspicion of involvement in a murder in Moscow. However, since that day neither the advocate, nor their relatives could establish their whereabouts.

According to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", on February 5, Robert Kelbisov and Gabib Gabibov turned to the HRC's office in Makhachkala.

Back on December 27, 2014, the above Robert Kelbisov and Gabibov's relatives addressed the Derbent GOVD (City Interior Division) with their applications about the disappearance of Rustam and Gamlet. Later, they learnt that their relatives had been placed into the Vladikavkaz IVS.

According to the HRC "Memorial", until now the advocates, invited by relatives, were unable to see their clients. Relatives suspect that torture and other illegal methods of investigation may be applied to Gabibov and Kelbisov.
