Shamkhal villager disappears in Dagestan

On August 22, Magomedarip Magomedov, a resident of the village of Shamkhal, disappeared. His wife fears he could be kidnapped.

Magomedarip Magomedov was allegedly kidnapped after Friday prayer on the road to Makhachkala, where he went to by his Lada Priora car, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Aibike, the wife of Magomedarip Magomedov.

According to the woman, she felt anxious because of the absence of her husband and called him; however, his mobile phone was switched off. Since then, he never called her.

The woman has explained that earlier, her husband had no criminal records and no problems with the police. The only reason, with which the wife could associate the disappearance of her husband, was in his religious views: disappeared Magomedarip Magomedov used to visit a Salafi mosque.

The information about the possible kidnapping of Magomedarip Magomedov has been published in the social network "Facebook".

Officials from the on duty unit of the Kirov ROVD (District Interior Division), which controls the village of Shamkhal, have reported that Magomedarip Magomedov was not brought to the ROVD.
