"Greenpeace" delivers to penal settlement-colony about 400 letters for Evgeny Vitishko
On May 7, in the settlement-colony No. 2 of the Tambov Region, Evgeny Vitishko, a convicted activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), was visited by Evgenia Chirikova, the leader of the movement to protect the Khimki Forest, activists of the "Greenpeace" international ecological organization and members of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) of the Tambov Region. During the meeting, the activist gave Evgeny Vitishko about 400 letters and books.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 6, the "Greenpeace" activists, Evgeniya Chirikova and Andrei Kolmakov, a member of the POC of the Tambov Region, were not allowed by the administration of the penal settlement-colony to visit the Krasnodar ecologist.
According to members of the "Greenpeace", on May 7, together with the activists, two members of the POC arrived in the penal settlement-colony to visit Evgeny Vitishko, and their meeting with the convicted ecologist took place. The activists, who have visited the ecologist in the penal settlement-colony, have noted that Evgeny Vitishko looks good and reads a lot.
