Prosecutor demands from 16 years to life imprisonment for five persons accused of organizing terror act in Vladikavkaz

On Tuesday, April 8, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don started sentencing five men accused of organizing the terror acts in the central marketplace of Vladikavkaz. The state prosecution demands imprisonment from 16 years to life term.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the investigation into the case was completed in November 2012. The prisoners' dock keeps five figurants: Issa Khashagulgov, Khizar Daurbekov, Mikail Khashagulgov, Magomed Daurbekov and Yusup Dzangiev.

The defendants are accused of 24 episodes of terrorism; two of them committed in North Ossetia-Alania, and 22 others – in the Republic of Ingushetia, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

According to the "Kommersant", the prosecutor demands life imprisonment for Issa Khashagulgov and Khizar Daurbekov; and from 16 to 20 years in prison for the other three.

Earlier, Magomed Gagiev, the advocate for Khizar Daurbekov, said that his client refused to plead guilty.
