Anapa authorities stop illegal construction on the beach of Utrish Reserve
The press service of the administration of the city of Anapa reports that as a result of illegal construction of a cafe on the beach area of the Utrish Reserve dozens of relict trees listed in the Red Book were damaged. The Prosecutor's Office has begun searching for the customer.
The violations of the environmental legislation were revealed on March 28 after a large-scale raid conducted after numerous complaints of local residents by a large group of experts, including officials of the supervisory and fire inspection, forestry, traffic police, UVD (Interior Department), municipal control division of the city administration, inspectors of the "Rosprirodnadzor" and "Rostekhnadzor" (Russian Federal Agencies for Nature and Technical Supervision, accordingly), and specialists of the local department of the Federal Migration Service (FMS).
It was found that the builders, while clearing the space for the would-be cafe in the territory of the pebbly beach, destroyed relic plants.
According to Artyom Bakumov, a Senior Assistant of the City Prosecutor, the builders made a whole series of other violations.
