At trial in Dagestan, secret witness testified against Zarema Bagavutdinova
At the court session on the case of Zarema Bagavutdinova, an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), a testimony of another "secret witness" was presented. He said that Zarema had recruited a native of Dagestan for participation in illegal armed formations (IAFs).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Bagavutdinova's case was sent for trial on the merits to the Buynaksk City Court on November 20, 2013.
According to Denga Khalidov (the fictitious name of the witness), in November 2011, he went into the store "Guraba" where Zarema Bagavutdinova worked as a saleswoman.
"On that day, Dalgatov, M. N., was also in the store; and Bagavutdinova told him that he should go out for jihad and armed resistance to the authorities," the testimony of the witness runs.
After rumours were spread in Buynaksk that Dalgatov "went to the forest", the witness expressed confidence that "he took this step due to Bagavutdinova" and did not rule out that "he joined an IAF also through her."
Let us remind you that Zarema Bagavutdinova was arrested by the court on July 6 under the testimonies of two detained Buynaksk residents, in whose houses guns and grenades were found. On December 18, the HRC "Memorial" has decided to recognize Zarema a political prisoner.
