Representatives of Chechen refugees meet with Ingush Migration Service deputy head

Members of the refugees' Public Council met with deputy head of the Ingush Migration Service Akhmed Tomov on January 19. The meeting was held at the representative office of the Chechen President in Ingushetia. As reported by the Council members, the main subject matter of the discussion was the reinstatement in the Ingush Migration Service's lists of those Chechen refugees who have been take off the books before without any grounds. Despite the fact that the meeting had been initiated by Akhmed Tomov, who had promised earlier to settle all problems of displaced persons, these problems remained unsolved. The Council members say Mr. Tomov unexpectedly announced that the Chechen refugees illegally taken off the books would be reinstated only if he received the order from Ingush Migration Service head Akhmed Parchiyev or head of the Moscow Working Group Ivan Pomeschenko.
