NGO legal experts and practicing lawyers meet at workshop

The Pyatigorsk NGO Faith, Hope, and Love, which provides legal aid to refugees, is conducting a workshop on February 5 and 6, with the financial help of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and in cooperation with the Independent Expert Legal Council and the Chamber of Lawyers of Stavropol Territory. The workshop is titled "New Laws "On the Citizenship in the Russian Federation", "On Legal Position of Foreign Citizens on the Territory of the Russian Federation" and their application. Urgent Questions of Housing, Pension and Administrative Legislation of the Russian Federation."

The workshop is aimed at making contacts between NGO legal experts and practicing lawyers, and raising their educational level.

Judges of the Stavropol Regional Court, the president and members of the Chamber of Lawyers of Stavropol Territory, representatives of international organizations, NGO legal experts, and government officials are taking part in the workshop.

They are to discuss the pension reform, procedures of filing complaints with the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the law on the citizenship and so on.
