Dead body of Russian peacekeeper found in Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone

The dead body of a Russian peacekeeper was found in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone on January 28, reported a source at the Zugdidi police. No details are known yet. One of the versions concerns the January 27 developments in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone, when a skirmish happened between Georgian policemen and an Abkhazian criminal group of 10 people. Convicts who had escaped from the Rustavi jail in September 2003 were participants in the skirmish, reported the source.
