Over 40 houses flooded by rain in Vladikavkaz

On May 6, more than 40 private houses were flooded in the capital of North Ossetia as a result of rain and hail that attacked the city: roads were washed off; power lines were broken; and some buildings lost their roofs, reports the administration of the head of the republic.

The most affected was the lower part of Vladikavkaz - township Yuzhny (Southern), where basements of most of private houses and multi-storey buildings were flooded.

As a result of the shower, residents of five streets of Vladikavkaz lost their electricity supply. The emergency units are doing rush job, said Alla Akhpolova, head of the press service of the local MIA, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Due to the abundant rainfall, the emergency regime was introduced in Vladikavkaz. According to weather forecasts, today it will be again heavily raining both in the capital and in other parts of North Ossetia, the "Interfax" reports.
