In 2010 Abkhazia received 1,8 billion rubles financial aid from Russia

In 2010, 1,8 billion rubles out of gratuitous financial aid from Russia for social and economic development were drawn in Abkhazia. Vested remainder for 2011 is equal to 1,2 billion rubles.

This was spoken about at an operational session of the Government on the results of fulfillment of a Complex plan of assistance to social and economic development of Abkhazia and tasks for 2011.

This year Abkhazia will have to draw 4,23 billion rubles. The plan has been designed for three years (2010 – 2012) and stipulates rendering Abkhazia gratuitous financial aid by Russia to the sum of 10,8 billion rubles.

“I take upon myself control of fulfillment of the plan. In case of necessity Control and Revision Department and Prosecutor General's will participate in this work”, President of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh emphasized.

It should be reminded that Russia was the first to acknowledge independence of Abkhazia on August, 26, 2008. An agreement of friendship, cooperation and mutual help was signed between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia on September, 17, 2008.
