Anti-terror rally to be held on October 2 in North Ossetia

On Saturday, October 2, at 2 p.m., the city of Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia, plans to host a rally, where the organizers plan to protest against inefficient actions of the authorities in their fight against extremism and human rights violations.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that similar actions are scheduled in Moscow and St Petersburg.

The rally organizers plan to speak out in defence of freedom and legitimate expression of opinions. Besides, the actions are directed against encroachments on the freedom of speech, against terrorism, extremism, corruption and inefficient authorities' actions. According to the organizers, the rally in Vladikavkaz will be held in defence of peace, creativity, mutual understanding and friendship.

The actions were sanctioned by the authorities in Moscow and St Petersburg, while the Vladikavkaz authorities refused to "coordinate" it.
