Union of Russian Compatriots in Abkhazia offers national communities to unite into one organization

Members of the Association of Cossacks of Abkhazia, the Greek cultural and charitable society "Irini", Russian communities of the Gulripshsky district and the town of Tkuarchal, the Union of Poles of Abkhazia, the Jewish "Shalom" community, the Estonian "Linda" society, and non-government organization "Peace and Consent" met in Sukhum on November 6 to discuss this proposal.

Participants told about activities of their national communities, about problems of social protection of the people. They supported the Union of Compatriots in its effort to unite.

The national communities came to the agreement they would initially discuss the proposal in their organizations and then would make a final decision and hold a joint congress.
