"Armavia" not to fine those who return tickets to Moscow because of smog

The bosses of the Armenian airline "Armavia" have decided not to fine the passengers who refused to fly to Moscow because of smog there and returned their tickets.

"Usually, when a passenger returns his or her ticket or changes the date of the flight, we levy a fine; however, in view of the extraordinary situation caused by Moscow's smog, our airline has made an unprecedented decision not to fine passengers to Moscow for returning their tickets or changing dates," said Norair Belluyan, Director General of the "Armavia".

Currently, all the "Armavia" aircrafts are making their scheduled flights to Moscow without any problems, despite the smog filling the air space over the Russian capital and complicating the landing, the "NEWS.am" reports.

For some days already Moscow suffers from smoke blanketing caused by fires in the peat-bogs surrounding the city. Forest fires caused by extraordinary heat are observed in many other Russian regions.
