Over 7000 subscriptions in Tsogoeva's support gained in Krasnodar Territory

On July 13, the Krasnodar Territory finished signing-in in support of Elvina Tsogoeva, 36, a mother with many children and a resident of the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia, who killed a guy of 19, thinking that he had raped her three-year-old daughter. During 13 days of the action 7200 subscriptions were gained.

Today in the morning the last batch of gained subscriptions was sent by a registered letter to President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev. Earlier, human rights activists already sent three such letters to Mr Medvedev.

As reported by Albert Gaiamyan, initiator of the action and Director of the Human Rights Committee "Presumption", to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, in total 7200 subscriptions of residents of the Krasnodar Territory had been sent to Medvedev. In particular, the action was held in Krasnodar, Goryachi Klyuch, Sochi, Novorossisk, Bryukhovetskaya village, Apsheronsk and Anapa.

Earlier Mr Gaiamyan expressed his opinion that the verdict to Tsogoeva "was very severe, especially when the country has launched the campaign against paedophilia." "Maximum what Tsogoeva deserves is a conditional punishment," he said.
