Crisis Center has been created

Violent clashes between security forces and opposition protesters in Azerbaijan left at least three civilians dead and hundreds wounded just one day after the falsified presidential elections of October 15. About 600 hundred people have been arrested since October 15. Many people have disappeared.

Today we have opened the Crisis Center at the office of the Institute of Peace and Democracy. We will work from 10:00 till 20:00.

  • Rights defender Igor Nagavkin released from SIZO

    Igor Nagavkin, a human rights defender, whom the Volgograd Regional Court decided to release from custody, has left the territory of the SIZO (pre-trial prison) and went home to the town of Kalach-on-Don, stating that he would seek full rehabilitation.

  • Volgograd blogger detained for insulting Russian militaries

    Pavel Prokudin, a trash streamer from Volgograd, suspected of insulting fighters at the special military operation (SMO), has been detained in an apartment in Penza registered in someone else's name. He asked for forgiveness and explained that he was drunk.
