Georgia releases Azerbaijanis from detained "Buket" tanker

Georgia has received fines from the company – owner of the ship "Buket", which was detained in the neutral waters, and released the citizens of Azerbaijan who were onboard.

"According to the decision of the court, they are now free to go to any country or return to Azerbaijan," said Elkhan Polukhov, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The fine for four citizens of Azerbaijan was paid by the Batumi-based representative office of the company "Denza Tanker", to which the "Buket" belongs. The sum of the fine as appointed by the court of the city of Poti made 3000 laris (about 56,200 roubles), as reported by the APA Agency. The "1news.az" Agency adds that in the next few days the Azerbaijani seamen will come home.
