Georgia and South Ossetia accuse each other of shelling

In reply to this night's information from South Ossetia about bombardment of Tskhinvali, the Georgian party has reported that Ossetians have shelled the Georgian MIA's post in the village of Zemo Nikozy.

Let us remind you the Ministry of Defence of South Ossetia has reported that at night on July 30 Tskhinvali was exposed to mortar fire from the territory of Georgia - two mines, presumably of 82 mm calibre were launched; fortunately, there were no victims.

The shelling of the Georgian MIA's post was made from automatic firearms and a grenade launcher, as reported by the "Rustavi-2" TV Company. There were no victims.

The "Interfax" reports that the Georgian party has delivered the information about the shelling to the EU observation mission in Georgia.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Dzhugeli, head of the Kvem Kartli police department, has treated the information of the South Ossetian party about bombardment of Tskhinvali by Georgia as "full absurdity," as reported by the "Georgia Online".
