Chechnya opens an aquapark

The first aquapark in Chechnya was opened in Gudermes, the second largest city of the republic.

"We'll further improve the life of our citizens, to make them happy with every new day, and at the same time, we'll go on fighting our enemies who try to stop our beautiful life," said President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov at the opening ceremony of the aquapark.

The park covers the area of 67 hectares and will be able to serve over 500 persons per day. With account of religious traditions, its territory is divided into two parts - for men and for women, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

The NTV Channel has added that in future a movie theatre, a hotel and a stadium will be built, and by 2010 the winter aquapark facility will be started.
